Community Resilience

This partnership unites faculty and leaders from community- and faith-based organizations to advance community-led resilience initiatives for equitable climate adaptation and mitigation across the U.S. Southeast. Led by Georgia Tech faculty member Sofia Pérez-Guzmán (Civil and Environmental Engineering), the project develops an integrated resilience framework centered on community-defined goals, local infrastructure, and cultural traditions. Collaborations focus on strengthening community-owned resilience hubs, developing community-managed disaster risk reduction plans, and supporting partners in urban and coastal areas of Georgia and South Carolina.
